Principal Mark UsseryWelcome to Porter Ranch Community School,

Porter Ranch Community School (PRCS) opened its doors in August 2012 as a K–8 school within the Los Angeles Unified School District. Nestled in the hills of Porter Ranch, California, PRCS quickly established itself as a high-performing school with an API score of 924 during the 2012–2013 school year and continues the tradition of being a high-performing school today.

With over 1,300 students, PRCS is truly a community-centered school. The strong support from our families, community leaders, and corporate partners has shaped our identity and continues to play a vital role in our success.

In our founding year, parents came together to establish a PTA, and the Booster Club - Friends of PRCS was created to raise funds in support of school programs and initiatives, complete with bylaws and active committees. That foundation has since evolved into our current Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), which continues to lead efforts in building community, organizing events, and enhancing the student experience.

We are proud to have a dedicated and experienced staff committed to ongoing professional growth, embracing the latest teaching strategies and academic standards to support student achievement at every level.
